Weekend Excursions! Feb 6th -8th

Need something to do this weekend? Here are some suggestions for neat events happening in South Florida!

Friday, February 6th

Star Gazing

Take a trip to the Winter Star Gazing event at The Preston B. Bird & Mary Heinlein Fruit and Spice Park! They will be hosting an evening of Winter Star Gazing in recognition of February, the month of the “wolf moon” (named by Native Americans for the appearance of hungry wolves howling outside their villages).

The event begins (Friday, February 6th) at 7PM. Admission is free, there will be refreshments and storytelling around a campfire, as well as member of the Southern Cross Astronomical Society whom will be on hand to answer your questions!

Roller Disco (18+)

If you like dancing and skating, throw on some skates (optional but recommended) and head to the Disco at Grand Central! Victor Rosado will be the feature DJ and Admission is $10!

The event begins (Friday, February 6th) at 10PM and is located at 697 North Miami Avenue, Miami FL 33136.

The Arts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

If you’re into the arts or want to have a quite outing, go check out the Tapies: From Within gallery. The exhibition is comprised of 50 works by the recently deceased Catalan Master Antoni Tapies and will be open until March.

Admission is free and the event is open from 10AM to 6PM. It is located at the Perez Art Museum at 1103 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33130.

Sunday, February 8th

Raggae Sunday

Go Jammin’ on a Sunday! Club Jazid will be celebrating its 19th anniversary every Sunday on South Beach. Live music is present every night, but Sundays are said to be consistently the best!
